The popular Alden Norweigian split toe (NST) design is carefully stitched by hand.  Other carefully thought-out features of this shoe include dovetailed heels, full glove leather lining, and flexible pure vegetable tanned leather insoles.  Crafted on the Barrie Last to accommodate most foot shapes.

Each Alden New England shoe offers breathable comfort that lasts all day long. A layer of cork underneath the insole provides both insulation and resilience. As time goes on, the shoe will assume the contours of your foot, providing an excellent fit that feels like it was custom-tailored to you. A tempered steel shank is expertly contoured within each shoe and triple ribbed for extra strength. The shank provides a backbone to keep the shape of a fine welt shoe and additionally offers remarkable support for lasting comfort.
